Galloper to return to Spain in October with new off-road models
Galloper is set to return to the Spanish market this October, marking its comeback more than twenty years after ceasing commercial operations in 2005. Supported by a Spanish-owned company, the brand will launch with a range featuring a five-door off-road vehicle and a pick-up, both built on a body-on-frame chassis.
The vehicles are designed for both professional and private use, with a primary focus on the professional sector. Both models will share a technical base, powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged Mitsubishi gasoline engine producing 220 CV. They will be equipped with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system developed by BorgWarner, which includes a rear differential lock and a turning function to reduce the maneuverability radius on low-adhesion terrain.
Manufacturing will be handled by Coronet under license from Dongfeng Zhengzhou. The brand plans to announce the commercial names for these models in September, with names inspired by Spanish mountain ranges and peaks.
