Galvion’s Gdańsk Plant Celebrates One Year as NATO Helmet Production Hub

Galvion, a supplier of head systems and integrated soldier equipment, marked the 12‑month anniversary of its European and NATO production hub in Gdańsk, Poland. The facility, announced in 2023, completed in June 2024 and fully operational in April 2025, was formally opened by Canadian Ambassador Catherin Godin on 23 June 2025.

In its first year the plant employed over 100 staff, shipped more than 90,000 ballistic helmets to NATO allies in ten countries, and reached an annual capacity of 100,000 helmets on a single shift. With finishing, assembly, maintenance and training capabilities, Galvion aims to have close to 2 million helmets in service across NATO and European partners by the end of 2026, reinforcing supply‑chain resilience for allied forces.
