Gangnam District Council visits Chuseok direct market

The Gangnam District Council, led by Chairman Lee Jae-jin, visited the ‘2026 Chuseok Direct Market’ held at the Gangnam District Office parking lot on the morning of the 16th. The event was organized ahead of the Chuseok holiday to promote urban-rural coexistence and support local producers.

A total of 60 booths were established, featuring 79 production farms and 39 local governments from across South Korea. The market offered high-quality agricultural, fishery, and livestock products, alongside a food market and various traditional activities such as lucky bag draws and traditional games.

Participating regions with friendly exchange ties to Gangnam included Yangpyeong-gun, Dangjin-si, Yanggu-gun, Chilgok-gun, Yeongju-si, and Naju-si. Council members toured the market to meet with producers and residents, emphasizing the importance of continued support for these exchange platforms.
