Professional wrestler Ganon Jones Jr. has announced his decision to step away from wrestling following the death of Andy ‘The Butcher’ Williams. Williams, 48, passed away on September 5 after suffering a medical emergency during a match for Enjoy Wrestling in Pennsylvania.

Jones Jr. stated that his decision was influenced by his young daughter, who witnessed the tragedy during the match. In a statement, Jones noted that his daughter expressed fear regarding his safety, leading him to prioritize being present for her over his wrestling career.

AEW commentator Jim Ross also paid tribute to Williams, describing him as a ‘beautiful human being’ and a ‘sweetheart of a guy’ who brought unique energy to the ring during his time with All Elite Wrestling.
