Gardaí seize €333,000 worth of drugs in Ireland

As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí have seized drugs valued at €333,000 during two separate operations conducted within a 24-hour period in Roscommon and Galway.

In Galway, authorities seized suspected cannabis worth €233,000, resulting in the arrest and charging of two men in their 40s and 50s. These individuals are scheduled to appear in Galway District Court next month.

In a separate operation targeting an organized crime group based in Sligo, officers intercepted vehicles in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, and Keadue, Co Roscommon. This led to the seizure of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €100,000. A man in his 40s and a woman in her 50s were detained, and the substances have been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
