Garden Reach Shipbuilders signs maritime technology pacts

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has entered into two strategic partnerships during the SMM Hamburg Maritime Trade Fair in Germany to enhance its technological and sustainable capabilities.

Through a Memorandum of Understanding with Norway-based DNV, GRSE will focus on digital shipbuilding, green technologies, and artificial intelligence. The collaboration aims to integrate Industry 4.0 applications, such as predictive maintenance and smart manufacturing, into the design and construction of advanced warships and specialized vessels.

Additionally, GRSE signed an agreement with the Netherlands-based Damen Technical Cooperation B.V. to develop indigenous dredging capabilities. This partnership focuses on the design and construction of advanced dredgers, including Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers and Water Injection Dredgers, through technical know-how transfer and joint construction proposals.
