Garlasco: Wife files homicide complaint in Giovanni Ferri death case

The wife of Giovanni Ferri has filed a formal complaint with prosecutors requesting an investigation into voluntary homicide against unknown persons regarding her husband's death. Ferri, a former mechanic, was found dead on November 22, 2010, in Garlasco with his throat and wrists cut. While the case was originally archived as a suicide, his widow and her lawyer, Fabrizio Gallo, are challenging that conclusion.

Key points of contention include the location where the body was discovered—a narrow space on via Mulino—which the lawyer suggests is more suitable for hiding a body than for committing suicide. The widow also noted that Ferri had shown no signs of depression or mental illness, and she questioned why a knife was found near the body when no knives were missing from their home. She further noted that Ferri never used that specific route during his routine walks.
