Garmin expands flagship fēnix smartwatch series

Garmin has announced the expansion of its flagship multisport GPS smartwatch lineup with the introduction of the fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro. These new models are designed for athletes and adventurers, featuring advanced training and navigation capabilities.

The fēnix 9 Pro models include built-in satellite and LTE connectivity, allowing users to make calls, send texts, and transmit SOS emergency messages directly from the device. The fēnix 9 Pro also offers a choice between a Solar model for extended battery life and an AMOLED model featuring a display brightness of up to 3,000 nits.

A new feature called ‘Garmin Epic’ allows users to group multiple activities into a single shareable story within the Garmin Connect app. Additionally, the watches include enhanced stamina metrics to help users better manage their exertion and optimize training schedules. The fēnix 9 features an AMOLED display twice as bright as previous generations and includes a scratch-resistant sapphire lens and a dive rating of up to 40 meters.
