Garmin expands wearable ecosystem with new trackers and accessories
Garmin is expanding its ecosystem through new hardware and third-party accessory support. Accessory maker Nomad has launched its first dedicated lineup for Garmin users, targeting athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. The collection includes waterproof FKM fluoroelastomer straps, such as the 22mm Sport Band and the 26mm Rocky Point Band designed for larger models like the Fenix 8, as well as Horween leather Active Band Pro options for a more formal aesthetic.
Additionally, Garmin has introduced the Cirqa Smart Band, a screen-free health tracker designed to minimize digital distractions. Priced at $200, the device distinguishes itself from competitors like Whoop and Oura by offering full access to health metrics—including sleep, stress, and activity tracking—without requiring a recurring subscription fee. The Cirqa features a battery life of up to 10 days and can auto-detect over 80 different activities.
