Garmin has expanded its wearable technology offerings with new product options and pricing shifts. Initial reports noted price reductions for the Fenix 8 smartwatch in Poland, featuring AMOLED displays and ECG capabilities, alongside the emergence of the Cirqa as a specialized, screenless sensor for unobtrusive monitoring.

Following the release of the Cirqa, the device has been positioned as a lightweight, subscription-free tracker priced at approximately $199. While it supports over 80 workout types and integrates into the Garmin ecosystem, early user feedback has identified technical challenges, including inconsistent battery life ranging from 4 to 10 days, software bugs, and limitations in specific activity detection such as cycling and interval training.

More recent assessments of the Cirqa highlight its design as a compact, display-free smartband utilizing an optical heart rate sensor and an accelerometer. While the device provides data on respiration, sleep, and heart rate with a battery life of approximately 10 days, it lacks integrated GPS and AI-driven coaching insights, relying on smartphone app synchronization. Additionally, Garmin continues to maintain a presence in the cycling sector through its Edge series of GPS computers. These devices utilize GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satellite constellations to offer features such as turn-by-turn navigation, route planning, and compatibility with external sensors like power meters and the Garmin Varia radar system.
