Garmin expands wearable lineup with screenless tracker and cycling computers

Garmin continues to expand its wearable technology portfolio with diverse offerings ranging from screenless smartbands to advanced cycling computers.

The Garmin Cirqa is a screenless smartband designed for continuous health and fitness tracking. It features an optical heart rate sensor and an accelerometer within a compact, display-free design. While it provides solid data on heart rate, respiration, and sleep with a battery life of approximately 10 days, it lacks integrated GPS and AI-driven coaching insights, functioning primarily as a sensor unit that syncs with a smartphone app.

In the cycling sector, Garmin’s Edge series of GPS computers remains a market leader. These devices utilize GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satellite constellations to provide precise positioning. High-end models offer advanced features such as turn-by-turn navigation, route planning, and compatibility with external sensors like power meters, cadence sensors, and the Garmin Varia radar system.
