Garmin Fenix 9 series leaks suggest 2026 release

Leaks and regulatory filings, including documents from the FCC, suggest that Garmin is preparing a new lineup of high-end outdoor GPS watches known as the Fenix 9 series. The expected range may include the Fenix 9, Fenix 9 Pro, and a Fenix 9 Pro inReach model.

Technical specifications indicate that the series will likely offer both AMOLED and MIP Solar display options, with potential MicroLED technology appearing on premium versions. The Fenix 9 Pro inReach is expected to feature LTE connectivity and satellite messaging capabilities via NB-NTN technology, aimed at improving safety for trail runners and mountain users operating outside mobile network coverage.

While official details remain unconfirmed, the lineup may see a return of the 43 mm size format. A release in late August or September 2026 is considered a possibility, though pricing has not been finalized and may see an increase compared to previous generations.
