Garuda Indonesia and Saudia sign joint business agreement

Garuda Indonesia and Saudia have signed a Joint Business Framework Agreement to integrate their flight networks and enhance passenger services. The agreement was signed by Garuda Indonesia CEO Glenny Kairupan and Saudia Group Director General Ibrahim Al-Omar in Jakarta.

The partnership aims to connect more than 120 international destinations across Indonesia, Australia, Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. A primary focus of the collaboration is to improve connectivity and convenience for Indonesian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

Key benefits for passengers include coordinated ticket pricing, aligned frequent flyer programs, technological integration, and potential airport service synergies such as terminal co-location. The airlines are now seeking regulatory approval to officially launch the joint business operations, which are targeted to begin in 2027.
