Gas leak at LPG freight wagon halts traffic at Constanța’s Dorobanțu station

A leak of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was detected in one of the 34 wagons of a freight train parked at the Dorobanțu railway station in Constanța County. The incident prompted the suspension of train movements at the station while emergency crews from ISU Dobrogea, the railway inspectorate and the local police secured the area and repaired the defect. After the leak was contained, traffic resumed at 08:55.

The disruption affected passenger services, causing delays on 12 trains that accumulated 829 minutes of lost time. The freight train, number 67710002, belongs to private operator Tehnotrans and is managed by the national railway company CFR SA.
