Gases del Caribe sponsors 19th Sabor Barranquilla food festival

The 19th edition of Sabor Barranquilla, Colombia's premier food festival, runs from 20 to 23 August. Gases del Caribe returns as the official sponsor, emphasizing Caribbean fruits and the region’s culinary heritage.

Ramón Dávila, general manager of Gases del Caribe, said the partnership aims to use gastronomy as a tool for social transformation. The company’s stage presentation features chef Juan Diego Vanegas, who will demonstrate accessible, ingredient‑focused dishes on 22 August.

A new tribute segment, “Legados que Conservan el Sabor,” will honor local culinary contributors across two stages throughout the four‑day event. The festival also showcases the work of emerging chefs such as Manuel Mendoza, highlighting the blend of Caribbean Colombian and Middle‑Eastern flavors that define Barranquilla’s food scene.
