Gasoline prices dip in Belém, vary up to 34% in Maringá as Brazilian fuel costs fluctuate

In Belém, a survey of ten fuel stations found the cheapest gasoline common at R$5.97 per litre at Posto 25 (Petrobras), with the average price between 21‑27 June at R$6.61/L, marking a 2.51% decline from the previous week.

A separate Procon Maringá study of 82 stations on 26 June recorded price differences of up to 34% across the city. Diesel S500 showed the greatest spread (34.79% between the cheapest and most expensive pumps), followed by Diesel S10 (27.46%). Gasoline prices varied less, with common gasoline fluctuating 13.11% and additive gasoline 14.08%. The report also noted a broader price decline since the end of March, with ethanol down 17.67% and Diesel S500 down 17.56%.

Both reports highlight the importance for drivers to compare station prices, as variations can significantly affect daily commuting costs.
