Gaza aid shipments drop 43% in September

According to the Gaza Crossing and Borders Authority, aid shipments entering the Gaza Strip via the Kerem Shalom crossing dropped by 43% in September 2026 compared to August. Specifically, 1,244 aid trucks entered during September, down from 2,182 in the previous month.

Total truck movement into the territory also saw a 14.5% decrease, with 5,265 total trucks entering in September compared to 6,158 in August. While aid shipments declined, commercial truck movement saw a slight increase of approximately 2.5%. The total shipment breakdown included 3,781 commercial trucks, 1,244 aid trucks, and 240 fuel trucks.

Regarding passenger movement, 1,197 people departed Gaza in September, including 903 traveling to Egypt and 129 to Jordan, alongside 165 evacuations. The Rafah crossing was open for 10 days and closed for 20 days during the month, while the Kerem Shalom crossing was operational for 4 days for passenger travel and 27 days for commercial goods.
