Israeli military strikes and tank fire across the Gaza Strip killed at least four to five people on Monday, including two children. The casualties occurred in various locations, including a strike on a tent in Deir al-Balah and a bombing at the Al-Bureij refugee camp that killed a 4-year-old child.

In Khan Younis, a 10-year-old girl was reportedly killed by Israeli artillery fire. The Israeli military stated it was targeting Hamas weapons storage facilities located within mosques in the Shati refugee camp and Deir al-Balah, though it did not provide immediate evidence for these claims.

Additionally, reports indicated that Israeli aircraft destroyed a water desalination unit in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem condemned the destruction of the unit as an attempt to deprive residents of essential survival means. The military maintained the target was a Hamas weapons depot.

These escalations follow recent warnings from the Israeli government regarding the use of kites and drones, and occur despite calls from U.S. officials for Israel to reduce its intensity of attacks.
