Gaza casualties rise amid ongoing strikes and documentary recognition

The death toll in the Gaza Strip from Israeli attacks following the October 2025 ceasefire agreement has risen to nearly 1,370, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Recent reports indicate ten deaths and 56 injuries over a 48-hour period. Rescue teams have recovered 831 bodies from areas where Israeli troops have since withdrawn.

In a related development, the documentary “NAZA,” directed by Israeli journalists Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, received a special jury prize at the Venice Film Festival. The film features testimonies from 24 members of the Israeli forces describing the use of artificial intelligence and spyware to target Palestinian civilians. The filmmakers argue the strikes are part of a deliberate strategy, while the Israeli military has categorically rejected these accusations, stating they make unprecedented efforts to minimize civilian harm.

Since the beginning of the conflict following the October 7, 2023 attacks, the Gaza Ministry of Health reports a total of 73,783 deaths and 174,738 injuries.
