Gaza casualties rise as Yemen military tensions escalate

In the Gaza Strip, ongoing attacks have resulted in 10 deaths and 18 injuries over the last 48 hours, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Since October 7, 2023, the total death toll has reached 73,449, with 174,472 people injured. Despite a ceasefire that went into effect on October 10, the ministry reported 1,313 deaths and 4,361 injuries occurring after that date.

In Yemen, military tensions between government forces and Houthi rebels have escalated. The National Resistance Forces reported that Houthi forces targeted a village in the Al-Huha district of Hudaydah with ballistic missiles. Additionally, Houthi ballistic missiles reportedly struck the El-Muha port in Taiz.

In the Red Sea, naval forces intercepted five Houthi boats attempting to approach international shipping lanes and shot down a Houthi unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Furthermore, a vessel carrying equipment used for UAV production, allegedly being transported by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to the Houthis, was seized.
