Gaza ceasefire violated by Israeli military operations and demolitions
Israeli military forces have conducted multiple violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, involving heavy artillery, gunfire, and large-scale demolition of infrastructure. Reports indicate at least eight significant violations occurred on Friday, affecting all governorates in the territory. These actions included intense gunfire south of Khan Younis, artillery shelling in eastern Gaza City, and the use of explosive robots in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
In addition to the ceasefire breaches, military operations have resulted in casualties and the destruction of residential blocks. Recent reports highlight the demolition of buildings in Beit Lahia and Rafah, alongside shelling in Deir al-Balah and Al-Maghazi camp. These escalations occur despite a roadmap for a ceasefire and the end of hostilities previously announced by US President Donald Trump in July 2026.
The continuous military activity, including the demolition of homes and infrastructure, continues to exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the region as the truce remains under threat.
