Gaza casualties exceed 1,400 since ceasefire began
The United Nations Human Rights Office has documented 1,076 Palestinian deaths in the Gaza Strip occurring between the October 2025 ceasefire and the end of July 2026. According to medical sources in Gaza, the total death toll since the ceasefire began exceeds 1,400 people. Of the deaths verified by the UN, approximately 37% were women and children, specifically 268 children and 126 women.
