Deadly Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have killed at least 10 Palestinians in two separate incidents, casting doubt on recent ceasefire negotiations. One strike hit a crowded cafe in the Gaza City port area, which serves as a displacement camp, killing at least seven people, including a child. The Israeli military stated the target was a meeting of Hamas commanders.

A second strike targeted a municipal police station in Gaza City, killing at least nine people, including several high-ranking officers and a 13-year-old girl, and wounding 15 others. Hamas condemned the attacks as war crimes and a deliberate attempt to undermine ceasefire efforts.

These escalations follow a meeting in Jerusalem between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. negotiator Jared Kushner. While Kushner reportedly urged Israel to reduce attacks to advance a ceasefire plan, Netanyahu has maintained that the military will not withdraw from the enclave until Hamas is fully disarmed. The cumulative death toll in Gaza since October 2023 has reached 73,407, according to health authorities.
