Gaza Civilian Deaths and Injuries Surge as Israel Violates Ceasefire
Israel continued violations of the cease‑fire agreement on June 27, carrying out drone strikes, artillery shelling, home demolitions and heavy gunfire across Gaza City, Beit Lahia, Jabalia, Khan Younis, Rafah and the central camps. The attacks killed several civilians, including Wael Lubbad, Muath Ahmad, Talal Jaber Mohammad Abdul‑Aal and Sameh Abu Kmeil, and injured dozens more, among them a child shot in the head in Jabalia. Israeli strikes also hit tents sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis and Gaza City, and demolished homes surrounding the Al‑Batsh cemetery.
The Gaza Ministry of Health warned that the humanitarian situation is deepening: medical travel has been halted, dialysis machines are failing, infant‑formula supplies are critically low, and more than one million tons of waste have accumulated, creating an environmental crisis. The ongoing inability of civil‑defence crews to reach bombed sites leaves many victims trapped under rubble.
