Gaza ceasefire breaches kill dozens as Israeli attacks continue
Israeli forces have carried out multiple air, drone and artillery strikes in Gaza despite a United Nations‑backed ceasefire that began in October 2025. The attacks have hit Gaza City, Khan Younis, al‑Mawasi, Zeitoun, al‑Fallujah and other neighbourhoods, killing at least six Palestinians in one report and seven more in another, with the total of deaths in the latest 48‑hour period reaching 16, including civilians and a married couple. More than 20 people have been wounded, and rescue crews have recovered nine bodies from under rubble. The Gaza Ministry of Health says ceasefire violations have so far killed 1,066 Palestinians and injured 3,445 since the truce began, bringing the overall war toll to roughly 73,090 dead and 173,550 injured since October 2023. Human‑itarian conditions continue to deteriorate as displacement, overcrowding and limited services exacerbate health risks, including a surge in varicella cases.
