Gaza destruction revealed by high-resolution Israeli satellite imagery

High-resolution Israeli satellite imagery, originally captured in 2025, has recently become accessible via the Israeli government's geospatial portal, revealing extensive destruction and military activity in the northern and eastern Gaza Strip. Previously obscured for security reasons, the unmasked images provide detailed views of the areas within the ‘yellow line.’

The imagery shows widespread demolition and infrastructure damage in Beit Hanoun, where residential neighborhoods appear largely leveled. In the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, the photos document deep bulldozing tracks, new roads carved through residential blocks, and various engineering improvements used for military purposes.

Furthermore, the high-resolution data reveals specific Israeli military positions, including fortifications and vehicle sites near the Karney crossing southeast of the Zeitoun neighborhood. In eastern Jabalia and the area near the Gaza envelope, the images show newly established military outposts, earth berms, and specialized paths for armored vehicle movement, as well as artillery positions in northern incursion zones.
