Beit Lahia strike kills Ahmad family, including two children

An Israeli airstrike in the Beit Lahia Project area of northern Gaza killed four members of the Ahmad family, including two children aged 8 and 12. Al-Shifa Hospital reported that the victims' remains were recovered in pieces. The Israeli military stated the strike targeted a military structure and eliminated Muamen Abd al-Rahman Ahmad, whom they described as a military operative involved in combat against Israeli forces.

These strikes occur despite a US-brokered ceasefire that took effect in October 2025. Since that agreement, Gaza health authorities report that more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed, while the Israeli military has reported four to five deaths among its forces.

The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains critical. According to the Gaza Government Media Office, over 95% of the population is entirely dependent on humanitarian aid, and more than 90% have lost their purchasing power for food.
