Gaza faces humanitarian crisis amid food shortages and building collapses
Gaza continues to face a severe humanitarian crisis characterized by widespread hunger and infrastructure failure. Despite an increase in truck entries, a Palestinian NGO network reports that only 200 to 260 trucks enter daily, with only about 40 percent carrying humanitarian aid. Structural instability has also led to fatal incidents, including the collapse of a six-story residential building in Gaza City. The collapse killed at least 20 people, including eight children, and left approximately 60 people missing under the rubble. Rescue efforts are hampered by the widespread destruction of infrastructure, with officials warning that nearly 2,000 other buildings in the enclave remain in similar vulnerable conditions.
