Gaza humanitarian crisis deepens as ceasefire violations continue

Three hundred days after the October 2025 ceasefire began, Israel has recorded more than 4,000 violations, killing 1,254 Palestinians and delivering only about 35% of the 180,000 humanitarian trucks promised. The Rafah crossing has allowed just 39% of scheduled travelers, leaving tens of thousands unable to leave the enclave.

The ongoing blockade has created a secondary health disaster: untreated sewage, accumulating trash and a surge in rats threaten residents, while food shortages persist. A recent Israeli airstrike on the Al‑Sousi Tower in Gaza City killed a pregnant woman, her husband and their five‑year‑old son, and left an unborn baby exposed among the rubble. The strike added to at least 18 Palestinian deaths reported that day, underscoring the fragile security situation despite the ceasefire.

International bodies, including the United Nations and Amnesty International, continue to label the situation as an ongoing genocide, while the U.S.‑led “Board of Peace” claims a new phase of the ceasefire is in effect.
