Gaza: Israeli attacks kill at least 10 people
At least 10 Palestinians were killed and 56 wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over a 48-hour period, according to the Gaza health ministry. The strikes included artillery shelling and gunfire in northern, central, and southern regions.
In the al-Mawasi area south of Khan Younis, 27-year-old Iman Shalouf, who was nearly eight months pregnant, died after being struck by gunfire. Medical workers reported that while doctors initially detected the unborn baby’s heartbeat at Nasser hospital, both mother and child died a few hours later. The Israel Defense Forces stated they are investigating the incident.
These fatalities occur despite an October 2025 ceasefire agreement. Reports indicate that since the agreement began, the daily death toll has decreased compared to the initial stages of the conflict, but violence and killings continue to be reported daily.
