Gaza Reconstruction Talks Involve Hamas, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey

The Trump administration’s 20‑point post‑war Gaza plan proposes a $5 billion investment, an international stabilization force and a temporary technocratic administration that would later be handed to a reformed Palestinian Authority (PA). Analysts argue the PA is not a rival to Hamas but part of the same ecosystem, noting Qatar’s decade‑long funding of more than $1.2 billion to PA institutions, education and welfare programs that also bolster Hamas’s network.

In parallel, Hamas representatives met Egyptian, Turkish and Qatari officials in Cairo to accelerate a cease‑fire and reconstruction agenda. Hamas media adviser Taher al‑Nunu said the talks covered “all matters pertaining to the first phase of the cease‑fire agreement: consolidating the political rights of the Palestinian people, expediting the deployment of the national governing committee for the Gaza Strip and transferring all authorities to it, increasing humanitarian aid, initiating the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entirety of the Strip.” Egypt, Qatar and Turkey are coordinating to push the reconstruction process forward without further delays.
