Gaza Stabilization Advances as Albania Sends Officers and Egypt Awaits Ceasefire Meeting

Albania's defence minister Ermal Nufi announced that four Albanian officers will join the international stabilization mission in Gaza, part of a long‑standing agreement with NATO and the United States. The government also reported progress on a warship production project and detailed recent domestic fire‑fighting efforts, including the extinguishing of more than 27 fires and rewards for firefighters.

In Egypt, officials said a forthcoming meeting of mediators in Cairo will reconfirm the commitment of all parties to implement the second phase of the Gaza cease‑fire agreement. Hamas and other Palestinian factions have indicated readiness to follow the agreed guidelines, while Israel has yet to formally endorse the plan. The talks follow a U.S.‑backed cease‑fire framework announced by the President and a peace board, aiming to end hostilities and enable humanitarian aid.

Both countries are positioning themselves to support the broader international effort to stabilize Gaza and enforce the cease‑fire terms.
