Gaza Strip casualties rise amid continued ceasefire violations

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported that more than 65 people were killed or injured during the last 48 hours due to ongoing Israeli military actions. This includes 10 new deaths and 56 injuries reported by hospitals. Medical officials noted that many victims remain trapped under rubble or on roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them.

Specific incidents include a drone strike targeting a gathering of displaced persons near tents in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, which injured nine people. Additionally, a pregnant woman and her unborn child died from injuries sustained three days prior following gunfire in southern Khan Younis.

Violations of the ceasefire agreement, which has been in place since October 11, 2025, have continued for 338 consecutive days. Military operations have spanned from northern Gaza to the south, involving airstrikes, artillery shelling, and drone strikes in areas such as Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Gaza City. Since the start of the conflict on October 7, 2023, the cumulative death toll has reached 73,783, with 174,738 injuries recorded.
