Gaza Strip experiences casualties amid reports of ceasefire violations

Ongoing Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip have resulted in at least one death and multiple injuries on Saturday, amid reported violations of the ceasefire agreement. Palestinian sources identified Mohannad Jamal Ghayyad as having been killed by Israeli gunfire east of Deir al-Balah.

In southern Gaza, several Palestinians, including children, were injured near Khan Yunis and the Mawasi area when gunfire was directed toward displacement tents. In Gaza City, a child was reportedly injured by Israeli fire in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood. Other incidents of heavy gunfire and shelling were reported in areas including Beit Lahia, Al-Nuseirat camp, and near Al-Shifa Hospital.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the cumulative death toll since the start of the current hostilities on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,384, with 174,242 injuries. These recent escalations occur despite the recent ceasefire framework mediated by Arab and American officials.
