Gaza Strip: Israeli airstrikes kill Palestinians and Hamas commanders

Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least five Palestinians, including children and Hamas commanders, according to medical officials and Hamas sources.

In northern Gaza, an attack on a vehicle in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood killed at least two people, including a child, and wounded seven others. Witnesses reported that a second strike hit a group of people who had rushed to assist the initial victims. The Israeli military stated it targeted a member of an armed group in the area but provided few details.

In a separate incident in Jabalia, the humanitarian organization Medical Aid for Palestinians reported that a patient was killed at a supported health center by an Israeli quadcopter drone. Additionally, an Israeli strike on a tent camp in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis killed a man and an eight-year-old girl, wounding 14 others. Hamas sources identified Nael Abu Obeid, a commander from the Rafah brigade, as a casualty of these strikes.

These incidents occur despite a ceasefire mediated by the United States in October 2025. While the agreement halted large-scale fighting, Israeli strikes have continued, and both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the terms of the agreement.
