Gaza Strip: Seven killed in Israeli strikes amid humanitarian crisis

At least seven Palestinians have been killed and ten others wounded in Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Fatalities occurred during strikes on a residential building in Beit Lahiya and a drone attack on a tent for displaced persons in Khan Younis. Some victims remain trapped under rubble as emergency services struggle to reach them.

In addition to the casualties, a strike destroyed a warehouse belonging to the humanitarian organization Ard El Insan. The facility held essential food and nutritional supplies for women and children, serving approximately 60 medical points. Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) reported that the explosion caused the structure to collapse, rendering the supplies unusable.

Health officials have also warned of a critical oxygen shortage. Director General Munir al-Bursh stated that only 12 of approximately 34 oxygen stations remain functional, posing a direct threat to patient lives. The United Nations estimates that the ongoing conflict has damaged roughly 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs projected at approximately $70 billion.
