Gaziantep Chamber of Industry restructures Industrial Development Hub

The Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO) has implemented a new organizational structure for its Industrial Development Hub (EGÜ) to foster more integrated and efficient management. The restructuring aims to bring all entities under the EGÜ umbrella to ensure a holistic management model.

Bora Tezel has been appointed as the Chairman of the EGÜ Board, with Yiğitcan Konukoğlu serving as Vice Chairman. The board held its inaugural meeting to discuss strategic plans for increasing the competitiveness of Gaziantep’s industry. Key focus areas include digital and green transformation, lean production, energy management, carbon footprint reduction, and vocational training.

The EGÜ encompasses several specialized units, including the GSO Vocational Training Center (GSOMEM), the Gaziantep Vocational Qualification Examination, Certification and Consultancy Co. (GASBEM), and the Gaziantep Competence and Digital Transformation Center (Gaziantep Model Factory). GSO President Adnan Ünverdi emphasized that these investments in digitalization and qualified human resources are essential for maintaining the region's production capacity and export potential.
