Gaziantep exports rise 16.4% to $1.02 billion in September

Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO) Chairman Adnan Ünverdi reported that exports from Gaziantep reached $1.025 billion in September, marking a 16.4 percent increase compared to the same month last year.

According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Gaziantep’s total exports for the January-September period rose by 8 percent year-on-year, totaling approximately $7.989 billion. The city currently ranks sixth in Turkey for both monthly and periodic export volumes.

Ünverdi noted that despite global economic fluctuations and international trade challenges, local industrialists are maintaining production and export efforts. He emphasized the importance of exports for closing the current account deficit and driving economic growth, highlighting GSO initiatives such as the Export Academy and various B2B projects to reach new markets.
