Gaziantep coach Mirel Rădoi targets Romanian players for summer transfers

Turkish Süper Lig side Gaziantep FK, coached by Romanian Mirel Rădoi, is actively pursuing players from Romania's Liga 1 ahead of the new season. The club has reportedly sent an official offer to Rapid București for right‑back Cristi Manea, valued around €1.3 million, as part of Rădoi’s first major recruitment move.

Rădoi has also identified former Dinamo defender Kennedy Boateng as a potential signing; the 29‑year‑old centre‑back is listed at roughly €1.2 million. In an interview, Rădoi said the club will analyse options before finalising deals and warned that excessive media speculation could cause problems. Gaziantep’s squad will convene on 8 July to begin preseason preparations.

The coach emphasised his aim to bring the most valuable Romanian talent to strengthen the team, highlighting both Manea and Boateng as priority targets.
