GCash expands digital services through remittance and crypto trading
GCash, the leading digital finance platform in the Philippines, has announced two major service expansions. Through a partnership with botim money, the UAE-based fintech platform, GCash has enabled direct wallet-to-wallet remittance access for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in the United Arab Emirates. This integration allows users in the UAE to transfer funds directly into GCash wallets, facilitating payments for bills, savings, and daily essentials in the Philippines.
Additionally, GCash is enhancing its digital asset capabilities via GCrypto, a service powered by the Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX). The feature allows verified users to open crypto trading accounts in approximately 30 seconds and trade up to 55 different cryptocurrencies. The platform supports direct peso-to-crypto conversion and enables the transfer of digital assets between GCash and external crypto wallets or exchanges without requiring users to liquidate holdings first.
