GE Vernova projects $200 billion backlog by 2027

GE Vernova CEO Scott Strazik has signaled strong growth prospects for the energy technology company, projecting that its backlog will reach $200 billion as early as 2027. During a recent conference, Strazik highlighted the company's performance across its three main segments: power, electrification, and wind.

The power segment remains the most profitable, generating $2.9 billion in EBITDA in 2025. The electrification segment, which focuses on grid solutions, contributed $1.4 billion in EBITDA. While the wind segment reported an EBITDA loss of $598 million in 2025, Strazik indicated the division is approaching a “profitability pivot point.”

In addition to executive optimism, institutional investors have increased their positions in the company. SEC filings show that CX Institutional raised its stake by 396.2% during the third quarter, while GoalVest Advisory LLC increased its holdings by over 90,000% during the same period.
