Startup Summit 2026 highlights innovation and investment in Brazil
The Startup Summit 2026 in Florianópolis has established itself as a major Latin American hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. The event, organized by Sebrae and ACATE, expects to reach 30,000 participants, including 10,000 in person and 20,000 online. The summit features 283 speakers across 17 content tracks, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, AgTech, and internationalization.
Key financial and strategic announcements were made during the summit. Sebrae/SC and Fapesc announced the AceleraStartup SC program, distributing approximately R$ 1.6 million to 20 startups to accelerate their market operations. Additionally, Sebrae-SP announced a R$ 100 million injection into the Germina Fund, managed by BTG Pactual, to support early-stage startups in sectors like healthtech and climate tech.
The event also highlights the growing maturity of the Brazilian ecosystem, featuring 29 international delegations and discussions on global competition between the US and China. Meanwhile, the ENEJ 2026 in Belo Horizonte is also drawing significant attention, gathering over 4,500 young entrepreneurs for the largest edition of the National Meeting of Junior Enterprises in the country's history.
