Geely and BYD announce new electric vehicle updates in China

Chinese automotive manufacturers Geely and BYD have announced updates and new models within the electric vehicle market.

Geely has updated its Xingyuan (known as the EX2 in Brazil) in China. The updated lineup features improved battery capacities using CATL cells, offering ranges of up to 480 km under the CLTC cycle. Higher-end configurations include a gear selector moved to the steering column, the Flyme Auto 2 multimedia system, and the Qianli Haohan H3 driver assistance package. Fast charging can bring the battery from 30% to 80% in 19 minutes.

BYD has launched a new entry-level version of the Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) Ti 3 SUV in China. Priced at approximately US$ 21,325, the model features a 65.3 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery providing a 510 km range. Utilizing BYD’s MWh chargers, the battery can charge from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes. The vehicle produces 322 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
