Geely and King Long United announce vehicle recalls in China

Multiple automotive manufacturers in China have filed recall plans with the State Administration for Market Regulation to address safety defects.

Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. is recalling over 92,000 vehicles, including models from the Geely Galaxy M9 and Lynk & Co series (900, 10EM-P, 07, and 08). The recall stems from supplier manufacturing fluctuations that may damage the internal power IC of the LiDAR sensors. This defect could cause assisted driving functions to fail or malfunction, posing safety risks in extreme conditions. Geely will replace the LiDAR units free of charge.

King Long United Automotive Industry (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is recalling 62 fuel cell semi-trailer tractors produced between July and December 2021. The issue involves a gear motor driving torque threshold design that may fail to meet shifting requirements under certain conditions, potentially causing power interruptions during driving. The company will upgrade the transmission controller software to resolve the issue.
