Geely expands Latin American presence with new production and electric models

Geely is significantly expanding its presence in Latin America through industrial investments and new product launches. In Brazil, the alliance between Geely and Renault Group has commenced local production of the Geely EX5 EM-i Super Hybrid at the Ayrton Senna Industrial Complex in Curitiba. This initiative is part of a larger investment cycle, with total planned spending between 2025 and 2027 reaching R$ 5.8 billion to support electrified vehicle production, including the upcoming Geely EX2 electric hatchback.

Technologically, Geely is updating its EX5 electric SUV lineup. A new version featuring an 800V architecture, rear-wheel drive, and up to 333 hp is being introduced, offering significantly higher performance and faster charging capabilities compared to previous models.

In other markets, Geely is also expanding its regional footprint. The Monjaro EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV is arriving in Mexico, featuring 335 hp and an electric range of up to 130 km. Additionally, the Geely EX2 electric hatchback has been introduced to the Paraguayan market through official representative Automotor S.A., targeting urban mobility with a compact design and advanced safety features.
