Geely E2 achieves five-star safety ratings under new 2026 protocols
Geely Auto has announced that its E2 electric vehicle model achieved a five-star safety rating under the new and more stringent 2026 Euro NCAP and ANCAP protocols. This marks the first time a Geely model has secured top ratings from both independent assessment programs under these updated standards, which emphasize holistic safety including crash avoidance, protection, and post-crash safety.
The Geely E2 is a high-volume model, with global sales exceeding 800,000 units. In China alone, sales reached approximately 465,775 units in 2025. The vehicle is a segment B electric hatchback built on the GEA platform, featuring a minimalist interior with dual screens and a battery capacity ranging from 35.35 kWh to 47.14 kWh, providing a WLTP range of up to 345 kilometers. Geely is preparing to expand the model's availability into the European market.
