Overview
Geely continues to expand its global electric vehicle (EV) footprint and diversify its lineup. The E2 (also known as the EX2) has surpassed 800,000 global sales across more than 30 countries. In October 2026, the E2 reached a production milestone of one million units, with the one-millionth hatchback rolling off the production line in Xiangtan. This milestone follows the model's 2025 performance as the fastest-selling new car in China, recording 465,775 retail sales. Built on Geely’s GEA architecture, the E2 features a 39.4 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a 325 km range and has earned a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
The E2 has officially launched in Romania and Greece, where it is available in PRO, TECH, and ULTRA versions with prices starting at €21,990. It also received the GCOTY Value Award at the German Car of the Year 2027 awards.
Addressing previous criticisms regarding charging speeds, Geely has detailed updates for its Galaxy E5 (EX5) electric SUV. The refreshed model transitions to an 800V electrical architecture, supporting DC fast-charging at up to 460kW. These new rear-wheel-drive variants feature LFP batteries with capacities of 61.52kWh or 70.01kWh, delivering a CLTC range of 550 to 635 kilometers.
Zhejiang Geely Holding Group reported record-breaking performance for the first three quarters of 2026, with total sales exceeding 3 million vehicles and NEV sales reaching approximately 1.79 million units. Geely Auto specifically reported a 41% surge in core net profit to 14.9 billion yuan for the first three quarters. Additionally, Geely is expanding production to Indonesia and Brazil and utilizing Malaysia’s Tanjong Malim complex as an international production hub for Proton.
