Geely E2 reaches one-million production milestone

Geely Auto Group has announced that its one-millionth E2 electric hatchback has rolled off the production line in Xiangtan. This milestone comes approximately two years after the model's global debut in October 2024.

The E2 was the fastest-selling new car in China in 2025, recording 465,775 retail sales according to the China Passenger Car Association. The vehicle is built on Geely’s GEA architecture, a global intelligent new-energy platform for battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Technical specifications for the E2 include a single rear-mounted electric motor and a 39.4 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, providing a claimed range of 325 km. The model has earned a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, achieving high scores in occupant protection and safety assist technologies.
