Geely Galaxy TT electric sedan boasts 93.8% efficiency and record low energy use

China's automotive group Geely has launched the Galaxy TT, a five‑metre‑long sedan featuring an 800‑volt “16‑in‑1” drivetrain that integrates twelve hardware components and four software functions into a 75‑kg unit. The powertrain delivers a combined output of 425 kW (570 hp) and achieves a claimed overall efficiency of 93.8 %, far above the typical 85‑90 % of conventional EVs.

The vehicle is equipped with a 75.2 kWh LFP battery, offering a CLTC range of 650 km (approximately 533 km WLTP). Geely reports a consumption of just 10.7 kWh per 100 km under the CLTC cycle, with an internal test figure of 8.2 kWh/100 km. The compact drivetrain reduces component count by about 180 parts, cutting weight and simplifying design. Charging from 10 % to 80 % is achieved in under 12 minutes. For comparison, Tesla’s Model 3 typically consumes 11.2‑13 kWh/100 km under WLTP standards.
