Geely launches best‑selling Chinese EV in Europe

Chinese automaker Geely is preparing to sell its best‑selling domestic electric hatchback in Europe. The model, known as the EX2 in the United Kingdom and as the E2 in the wider EU, is scheduled to arrive in the UK in August 2026, with a later rollout across EU markets. It is a five‑seat compact hatchback equipped with rear‑motor drive and battery options ranging from 30 kWh to 40 kWh, giving a WLTP‑tested range of roughly 300‑410 km.

Geely delivered about 450,000 vehicles worldwide in 2023 and sold more than 160,000 units of the model between January and May 2026, keeping it the top‑selling EV in China. The company plans to offer ten models in the UK by 2029 and aims for annual sales of 100,000 units by 2030. Production of the vehicle also takes place at a Renault plant in Brazil and in Belarus, highlighting Geely’s expanding global manufacturing network.
